Prep Time: 40 minutes  |  Servings: Two dates per serving

Ingredients

  • Pitted dates
  • Tahini (about one teaspoon per date)
  • Coconut oil
  • Dark chocolate chips
  • Flaky sea salt

Directions

  1. Arrange the dates on a lined baking sheet with the cut side up. Add about one teaspoon of tahini into each date. Place them in the fridge.
  2. Add the coconut oil and dark chocolate chips to a small saucepan over low heat. Stir continuously until the chocolate melts. Pour into a shallow bowl and let cool for about five minutes.
  3. Remove the dates from the fridge and dip each into the melted chocolate, coating well. Let excess chocolate drip off before placing back on the baking sheet.
  4. Chill in the fridge for 15–20 minutes to allow the chocolate to harden.
  5. Sprinkle flaky sea salt over the top and enjoy!

Storage

Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to four days or freeze for up to two months. If frozen, thaw for 5–10 minutes before eating.

Why These Ingredients Support Hormones & Bone Density After Menopause

Tahini provides a natural source of calcium — essential for maintaining bone strength after menopause when estrogen levels decline. Calcium works best alongside magnesium and boron to help prevent bone loss and preserve skeletal integrity.

Dark chocolate contributes magnesium, which supports hormone regulation, mood, and bone mineralization — a small indulgence that also offers nutritional benefits for a balanced diet for hormonal health.

Dates offer boron, a trace mineral that supports calcium absorption and bone metabolism. They’re also high in fiber, which supports gut and hormone health — two systems that interact strongly during midlife.

Together, these ingredients form a nutrient-dense combination that supports bone health, hormonal balance, and overall vitality.

    The Hormone Connection

Hormonal changes during menopause can accelerate bone loss, but diet plays a powerful role in prevention. Incorporating foods rich in calcium, magnesium, and boron can help your body stay strong and resilient.
