This cardio/strength combo workout, in its entirety, will take you about 50 minutes to wrap up. Each strength combination set should repeat two times. You start each circuit running, either on a treadmill or outside on a hill. If running outside, it’s ok to repeat the same hill run on the same hill for each circuit.

 

Equipment Needed:

2 Dumbbells or 1 Barbell
Medicine Ball

Total Time: 50 Minutes

Warm Up: 5 Minutes Easy Run

 

Circuit 1

3-Minute Climb on treadmill or steep outdoor hill
2-Min Treadmill (easy pace)
1-Min Treadmill (fast pace)
30 Lunges, alternating legs
40 Mountain Climbers
**Repeat circuit twice.**


Circuit 2

3-Minute Climb on treadmill or steep outdoor hill
2-Min Treadmill (easy pace)
1-Min Treadmill (fast pace)
15 Shoulder Press Squats w/ dumbbells or barbell
45-Second Straight Arm Plank
**Repeat circuit twice.**

Rest 2 minutes

Circuit 3

3-Minute Climb on treadmill or steep outdoor hill
2-Min Treadmill (easy pace)
1-Min Treadmill (fast pace)
30-Second Superman
40 Oblique Twists w/Medicine Ball
**Repeat circuit twice.**
